THE BIRTH OF DIE HARD MOVEMENTS(SOUNDSYSTEM) WAS IN THE FORM OF A MOVE FROM FOUNDING MEMBERS LEAVING THE FORMER SOUND. THUS THE DIE HARD MUSIC FAN NOW HAS BECOME THE MOVEMENTS. THE SOUND STARTED AS DIE HARD SOUND BY AT HOME BASE WHICH WAS THE “GOLDEN ALMOND” AKA AMON. THAT IS WHERE THE NAME BECAME POPULAR AND DEADLY BECAUSE AS A SOUND SYSTEM ; WE ALSO HAD DUBPLATES. MANY PEOPLE LABELLED THE SOUND A WAR SOUND. YET, WE WERE JUGGLING THE MOST NEW SONGS, RIDDIM AND HAD A SYSTEM TO PUSH IT. THIS IS 2004, WE HAD NUMEROUS MEMBERS AND STILL DO. THE ONES THAT STOOD OUT AT THIS TIME WAS ICEMAN AKA ICEY,JOMO AKA DRUMMER , GREG RAS AKA JUNIOR KILLER, LALA AND ICE-T. While, playing the Golden Almond was home base for you to hear the sound from 2004 to 2007. But, the fans began to spread the Die Hard name around the island, we have played almost every venue, yards, dancehalls along with numerous weddings,
sporting events, christmas parties(political and non-political), cultural, bars/shops, on the strip various locations, private parties, dinners and retirement functions. The sound did a very hard schedule for about seven years from 2005 to 2012 where were fixed weekend schedule. While we were just juggling the music for the people the sound has an dubplate element to it that has propelled us continuously to a place where people labeled us as we don’t want to juggle, ”we are a warring sound”. But, we love music and entertaining the people always. Just sometimes the level of intensity is not accept by some our counterparts. Pure entertainment is what we are about and we have levels to how we entertain. As we always try to move to the vibes of the people. We have enjoyed a slow to no schedule for a long time now. Definitely in 2016, we are now embarking to reclaim our spot as one of the roughest sound system in the island but the most futuristic juggling and pace setter that the people love.
